Tri-ing to stay young!

Tuesday evening;

Went out for a 45km ride with Dave and his friend Jonathon. Last week I had trouble keeping up to Dave. Welll ….. I can tell you, Jonathon does not know how to slow down to my speed. Needles to say, he had to stop several times to allow me to catch up. Dave circled back and helped me in the last 3 km. Jonathon actually had his bike loaded on the roof rack by the time that I got back to Dave and Jill’s home. Once again I was a sponge taking in every bit of information that I could. They both spent time showing me how to get down into a more aerodynamic position to scream down the hills. This is my last ride before GWN on Sunday.

 As it turned out, the Tuesday ride was my last training for the race. Work and the pursuit of the mighty Looney once again took precedent over getting ready for the race. I hope, come Sunday, chasing a happy banker will be worth the pain my slacking off will create.
