Double Run Day 1:25:06

Yesterday, Juice and I went to MEC with Syl who was looking for a headlight. Scott happened to be working that day and sold all three of us on this small headlight that he felt worked best especially for running. It is pitch-black right now at Cedar Hell in the mornings when I run so I thought I’d give the headlight a try. Juice was supposed to run with me this morning but when the alarm went off at 6:20 the look of torture on his face was too much to bear so I told him to stay in bed and that I would be just fine. I had my headlight, right? Ha! Actually, the light worked really well! I felt so confident with my footing and I can now see yards in front of me and I don’t have to worry about slamming into walkers and their dogs. I ran for 30 minutes and was surprised that my legs felt ok after yesterday’s run.

I had to pick up my new reading glasses in Fairfield so I left work a bit early and was able to make it to the lakes in time to catch the last bit of light. I ran at a steady pace for 55 minutes and then did 6 strides. My legs still feel pretty good…maybe the fatigue will hit me tomorrow. I did my weight and core routine after supper and got to bed pretty early.

Hey Mar, what kind of light is it? I’m interested in getting one also.

Hey Pan! It’s this one: http://en.petzl.com/petzl/LampesProduits?Produit=607
It’s really small and lightweight and swivels around…I highly recommend it.
