Juice and I met Syl at Cedar Hell for a 30 minute recovery run early this morning. We were all geeked out wearing our headlights…too funny! It was incredibly windy, especially at the top part of the loop. Juice actually did an hour…I felt bad bad driving off leaving him there but he did it and ran home…way to go, Joe! The run felt really good and was at a recovery pace (super easy).

I had my last lesson with Selena before the holidays. I will have to figure out what I want to sing for the UVic entrance audition. I may be a bit rusty in the New Year after a week of not singing a note…oh well!

Tonight Boob took us for a run through a neighborhood that took Christmas light decorating to the extreme. A lot of the houses were lit so brightly that I swear it was almost like being drenched in daylight as we ran by! I am not kidding!! It rained on us pretty hard for most of the 50 minute run and since I was relying on a lift back, I didn’t get to do my strides until I got dropped off at home. By that time because I was soaking wet, I was really cold but I was a trooper and out I went in the rain again ran a couple of laps around the park to warm up a little and then did my strides. Legs and breathing feel really good…feeling strong for some reason. The hot shower I took afterwards was dreamy, I’ll tell ya! I did my strength/core routine after supper and had a great yak with Er on the phone.
