Today was one of those days where you are having such a good time that you don’t want it to end…especially knowing you have a pile of work waiting for you on your desk the next morning! The day started off with a cheery, sunshiney run around the lakes. I sent out an email to the IRR list announcing a group run and I was thrilled with the big turn-out we got! I ran at a steady pace. My legs still feel like they’re in recovery mode but they’re getting better. I am being very patient and giving them the time they need.

Juice and I met Dawn and David for brunch. It was so nice to finally meet David and it was very inetersting talking to an elite 800m runner about training. We’re so happy they are back in town!

I got asked a couple of days ago to make a few comments for an article being written about half-marathon preparation for a new magazine called Canadian Running. I don’t know if the mag is available yet but it should be out soon. This particular article will be in the spring issue (the second issue) and will feature a coach’s advice as well as perspectives from runners of different levels and backgrounds. I think I represent the “runner coming into running late in life” perspective…great. Ha! I’ll keep you posted when it comes out!
