I forgot to mention in yesterday’s entry that the moon was hanging low on the horizon just over the stands on the far side of the track while IRR was running their WO. I wish I had a camera…it would have made a cool photograph.

Last night Paul said to do a really 30 minute easy shake out run this morning. Juice said he would run it with me but I didn’t think he would  actually make it but he did it!! He crawled out of bed shortly after me and put on his running gear and off we went! We met Glenn at Cedar Hill and we all shuffled along the cedar trails together. The full moon was shining brightly so although it was still pretty dark out, the path was covered in white frost so we could see where we were going with no problems. The whole golf course was white…really neat!

I was back at Cedar after work and did a steady but easy 45 minutes. I bumped into Merm and ran with him a bit and then finished off the run on my own. My legs feel really good again. I think last night’s track WO gave me the kick-start I needed. I finished off with 6 strides and did a very light version of my weight routine focusing more on my core,  giving my legs another easy night. Tomorrow I will run Paul’s 10 miler but will back off from running hard…work the hills but keep the pace under control. Should be fun!!
