O’Cal’s Plyo Session 40:15 + Plyos

I just love our new office. It is really cheery to have the sun pouring in through the huge windows (that is, when it’s sunny!). We’re pretty lucky to have such a snazzy work area too.
I thought I would feel pretty stiff this morning after last night’s wo but I was ok. No aches or sore calves. Whew! Syl agreed to try the plyo routine Paul had planned for me after work today. We drove to Beckwith Park and ran easily for 20 minutes and then met Paul in the grassy field where we were to do our plyometrics. We did 6 different excercises for 30 seconds each x 3 sets with 60″ of jogging recoveries between the exercises and 90″ between sets. The plyos were just excellent and bloody hard! Sylvan complained he ‘was done’ after each set but of course kept going strong…what a fibber! Paul then had us do some quick gear change drills. We ran easily for about 20m then exploded, sprinting full-out for about 50m then eased up for about 20m with a recovery jog back. We did 4 sets and of course, Mr. Complainer was a freekin’ rock star at these kicking my arse on each one…what’s up with that!? O’Cal ran part of the 20 minute cool-down with us and as Syl and I rounded the last loop of the trail near the park we looked to see the lunar eclipse in its first stages. Fortunately it was a clear night…really neat.
Juice in the meantime, ran with the Wednesday Night Boob Club. He got home at the exact same time I did. We were too lazy to cook so we went to the Cactus Club with Syl for dinner. Their yam fries are really good there…yam fries are good for you, right?

Plenty of beta carotene and anti-oxidants, let’s not mention the deep frying bit
Sure they were fab though.
