I felt droopy all day today. The track wo was looming and I kept hoping that somehow I would perk up by the end of the day. Unfortunately, I felt like a slug right through to closing time but hoped I would wake up once I started running.

It started to drizzle just as I was making my way to the track but at least it was warm out. There was another great turn-out tonight. This is so wonderful!  We were split into two groups again like last week, us and the super fast guys. “Us” included me, Nanc, Pork Chop (nee Wa-Wa), Kev and Syl. Paul gave everyone 1200m (90″) 800m (75″) 400m (60″) 400m x 2 sets with 5′ between sets. He wanted me to aim for 4:02 - 2:35 and 75″. Syl was a huge help once again running every other 400m with us (and a couple of 600s). Kev started just behind the rest of us so he could run a bit faster trying to catch us (which he did!). My strides felt a bit blah…this should be fun.

The session went just fine. I ran 4:00-2:35–71-73 on the first set, then 4:00-2:36-72-72 on the second. It’s so great working with a group and having Paul calling out splits and giving pointers as we run our laps.

Juice showed up just in time for the warm-down. He did a track wo on his own yesterday so today was his easy day. We all ran together and had enough light tonight to run along the trails the whole time. Spring is almost here!!

Syl joined me and Juice at The Penny Farthing pub for a bite to eat. We bumped into parents-to-be Ally and Mike who also took advantage of their Wednesday night pizza and beer special. It’s a pretty good deal!

    I believe you ran a 3:59 on the first 1200m; check your watch it’s a little fast…lol
