I forgot to blog that I did a session of core work last night. I have been keeping up with core work and other strength training but doing a bit less of it now that we’re in race mode…so fewer reps but still often enough to at least maintain everything and stay connected with my core. The plyo sessions too have been replacing the static strength routine I was doing up until February.

Today was a gorgeous day here in Victoria…finally! The forecast is still calling for showers on Sunday but at least we’re to have some sunshine on Saturday.

I went to the TC race expo this afternoon. Bob Reid and Phil wanted us to get some coverage before the race. Cheryl and Dave were there too. Dave actually had to speak in front of the audience about being an elite runner etc. We were interviewed for the local paper and  some goofy photos were taken of us running outside (fake running). I have no idea if our picture will get into the TC but if it does, I am sure I will look like a little squirt running next to ex-basketball player Dave and regally tall Cheryl.
