I woke up this morning and as I made my way to the bathroom I knew today would be pay-back day…I was facing a track session after work today and yesterday’s plyo session left me with sore muscles. I hoped I would feel better as the day went on but of course I didn’t. Everything was sore, even the muscles around my rib cage. I spoke to Chops before the wo  and said that maybe I should do the session the next day. That would have been a good idea because I was as flat as can be right from the start. I was to run 12 x 400m off of 60″ along with Prancy and Ased with Chops jumping in behind us as we ran by him at the 100m mark. The other  guys were running a different workout of km repeats and 200s.

It was cold and really windy tonight…just lovely. I led the first few laps in 78-79-78 (these were ok, but far from feeling smooth) 76-76-76-75 with Ased calling out words of encouragement to no avail. I was struggling so hard to keep up and man, my form stank! It took all my will to keep going 78-78 took 2:22 rest to put on my spikes then 75-75 then called it.  This was a tough lesson. I was definitely not recovered from yesterday (and the weekend) and will not do that again! The wind and drizzle didn’t help much either…I thought we were in the clear. Maybe I’ll have to drag out my winter clothes again!

Everyone else was super happy with their sessions which added to my fun on the warm-down haha! We can’t wait to see how Chopper does this weekend! Go Dooode!!!
