Yesterday was a day off. I cycled to work instead. Juice drove me to and from my lesson with Selena in the afternoon. I had a good one. Hope it sticks. I cycled home after work too so Juice could make the IRR wo at the lakes.

I got funding to run the the Calgary 10km on July 6th. I booked my flight and Juice is looking into flights too so we can go togther and get in a visit with Er, Pete and the girls.  Syl will be doing the timing so I am going to try and hook up with him while I’m there.

I ran 30 minutes this morning followed by a session of core work. I met Paul, Paddy with guest artist Simon for the plyo drill circuit at Beckwith Park. We did just 2 sets of 6 drills. These felt good again tonight even though I was feeling a bit tired all day today. We then did 4 of the explosive strides. OCal jogged ahead of us to the field we were going to run on to set up the markers with our discarded shirts. He jogs back to us and starts talking to us and the next thing we see is Paddy snatching up one of the markers and running like a maniac. OCal starts running after the Irish Setter who is dodging him left and right thinking that this is a fun game! It was so hilarious!! OCal finally got his shirt back and we were able to start the strides. I didn’t quite get the quick, explosive gear-change that OCal is looking for right off the top but I think I got a couple good ones in there.
