I met Jon at Henderson Rec Centre for my last wo before I leave for my trip. It was wet day but it was only drizzling while we were out and it was warm at least. Jon set up a course in Henderson field where I did 8 x 1′ (1′). My 12mm today were perfect as the field was boggy from all the melting snow and rain. I had fun zipping around the field, taking sharp turns, getting all muddy. I felt good. Jon spoke to me about what to expect how to approach these races and the kinds of courses I’ll be running over there. He said they’ll be a bit more demanding physically than what I am used to. Sounds like…fun?! The race in Edinburgh is 5.6km and Seville will be 8km. He brought some adapters he had for both the UK and Spain as well as a UK cell phone which will come in handy. So I am all set and leave tomorrow afternoon!
I went over to the Pacific Opera’s warehouse to get my measurements done for the opera. I was appalled at my chest measurement…and I even had a padded bra on and was too embarrassed to tell them. Good grief.
When I got home I took my soggy spikes out of my bag and my eye caught something that must have happened just today.
Now that doesn’t look too good, heh? Both shoes are like that too. I found out I got a Saucony sponsorship a few weeks ago and some stuff is on its way including xc spikes but nothing has arrived yet. I have track spikes so if worse comes to worst, I’ll use them. Of course, they had to be white.
Before…

Have a great trip!
I have white Nike XC spikes, crazy, I remember when I bought them wondering what they were thinking making a white XC spike, but hey, they were cheap so who cares!
