Yet another spectacular day! The weather has been just incredible this week and it looks like we’re in for a few more days of it!

I met Jon at Thetis this morning for a run on the back trails heading out to the back end of Stewart Mountain Rd where we then ran on a very rocky and hilly trail that eventually popped us out on to Munns Rd. From there we looped back on Munns and headed back to the park off of Highland Rd. It was a very hilly route but I just loved it. The trails behind Thetis are my favorite trails around here and today was a new route for me so I enjoyed it a lot! Juice in the meantime did his run along The Goose (he isn’t big on running on “rough” trails) and said he had a good run. He ran with IRR yesterday at Cedar Hill and said it went well so I think he is back on track after experiencing some jet-lag.

We spent part of the day hanging out with Chops at the beach where I got in an icing which felt great. I did my strength and core routine after dinner. I start my first day back at work at UVic in my new position tomorrow. It will be a bit of a shock after being a full-time student for a year. I feel so fortunate that I got the opportunity to focus on my singing and running for almost a year. It went by too quickly however and I wish I had another year to explore my two passions now that all the time-consuming course work is done. It will be good to be earning money again though and I am very grateful for the time I had. Not too many people get a chance like that and I think I took every advantage I could to make it as fulfilling as possible. So, it’s back in the saddle for me. Thankfully, I am starting back part-time until September so it’s a good way to ease back into it all and it’s a new position with new challenges. I’m not one to stay still for long!
