The morning run today was a soaker. It was raining lightly when Jon and I started out from his place but once we got on to Royal Oak, the rain started coming down hard. I didn’t have a hat on so I was basically blind for half of the run. We got absolutely drenched but it cleared up nicely for the last bit of the run. I was soaked head to foot. I took an extra long hot shower when I got home and wore wool soaks to work! We got luckier on the second run in the late afternoon even though it looked iffy. We got serenaded by a parliament of owls (a long story) as we ran through the Mount Doug trails. It was spooky hearing them calling to each other back and forth. That was the first time I heard so many hooting at once!
