About The Running Diva
My husband and I moved to Victoria, BC in August of 2003. That fall I became a member of a fabulous running club called the Island Road Racers led by Rob Harmsworth. The supportive and fun atmosphere of the club soon got me hooked into training and competing in a sport I have always loved. Since then I have had the privilege of working with Ron Bowker, Matt Clout and Paul O’Callaghan and with their knowledge and support have improved and have learned so much.
I am now coached by Olympian Jon Brown and look forward to the next phase of training and racing under his guidance. I also love to sing. I am classically trained and am currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Voice Performance at The University of Victoria studying under Benjamin Butterfield while continuing to pursue a performance career in opera and concert repertoire. In the fall of 2008, I will be running cross-country and track for the University’s running team (The UVic Vikes). This blog documents my running training and some random stuff about my vocal pursuits.
