Christmas early?!
Had a bit of errand running to do after work, well not really errands more like early Christmas gift picking up
In the past few weeks I’ve received a couple of emails from different companies offering me free product and both gifts arrived today!
My first stop was at the DHL depot where I picked up a box that contained a bottle of Ascenta NutraSea fish oil that was sent by Mr.Paul Roosjen of Ascenta Health. Apparently he ran across some of my nutrition posts and saw that I was using their product and offered me a free bottle – how could I pass that up? And it arrived just at the right time as my last bottle ran out just a couple days ago – So… a huge THANK YOU to Mr.Roosjen and Ascenta Health!
My second stop was at the FedEx depot where another box awaited pick up, this one had two pair of CEP running O² compression socks. A pair were sent for each Packman and I from Mr. Chris Jones of Entrix Sports. He had also stumbled across the blog and was inspired by our ’300km for the kids’ project and thought the socks would help us better cover (and recover from) the seven marathons that we’ll be running that week. Receiving these was kinda serendipitous as Packman and I had been talking about compression gear and the like just a few weeks ago. We owe another huge THANK YOU to Mr. Jones and Entrix Sports for “The Magic Socks” (as Kip Kangogo calls them). For those of you that aren’t familiar with compression socks they are proven to increase circulation by 30% at rest and 40% at peak activity. This extra circulation means:
- More O² for the muscles
- Loose muscles that fire more efficiently
- Run faster with less pain (Achilles heel support)
- Faster recovery – by flushing out the muscles
The last stop was at the newly opened Village Family Marketplace where T and I picked up some fresh organic raspberries, some Udder Guy’s old-fashioned ice cream and a couple of artichokes for dinner. We didn’t wait for dinner tho’ the raspberries and ice cream got devoured shortly after we got home a pre-dinner desert
The Village Family Marketplace’s focus is on sourcing local food and is a great place to buy all the wonderful food that is produced on this beautiful island and surrounding areas.
