Crewing time

The only thing better than running at an ultra event is crewing for a friend while they are running at an ultra event.

I truly enjoy the crewing experience.  The crew’s main responsibility is for mental and emotional support; being there to assist and encourage your runner.  You’re there to ensure they have everything they need for fuel and hydration, give them the space they need to get it done, and give them some tough love when they need that little kick in the ass to get it done faster.  As much as you can learn by running an ultra I also find that I learn an incredible amount by crewing at them.

On Saturday myself, T and Matthias will be crewing for Packman as he runs the Haney to Harrison 100K Ultra and it’s gonna be brilliant!

You’ll be able to track his progress via my twitter account (which will then update my Facebook status) and I’ll try to update every 5 to 10km.
