Burpees… Oh my!
Once again I’ve fallen behind on my burpees for the 100 Day Burpee Challenge. I missed Saturday and Sunday then only got 30 done yesterday so today I owe 192… I’ll head to Crossfit Zone a little early tonight and get caught up again.
Yesterday was a scheduled double day with an easier run at lunch followed up with a WOD at Crossfit Zone after work. The WOD was called “Rápido Repetición” and consisted of:
- Run 500M (1 block)
Rest 2 Min.
Then AMRAP in 10 minutes:
- 15 KB Swings (55#)
- 15 Ab Mat Situps
* The running portion of the workout was scored by subtracting your time from 5 minutes. A 2 min 500m would get you a score of 180 (3min) . If the run was 5 minutes or longer you scored 0 points. You then added your running score to the total reps of the couplet for the total workout score.
I completed 7 full round of the AMRAP +1 KB Swing for a rep count of 211 which when added to my run score of 183 (1′57″ or 117 seconds subtracted from 300 = 183) equaled 394 points.
Packman has decided to test himself once a week in his “Get on the board’ Monday’s” attempts at the Zone and yesterday he went for the double under record and got 57. I’m not sure that’s quite enough to get him on the Leaderboard but it’s definitely a ton of double unders! I, of course, am following along and tried my hand at getting on the Leaderboard yesterday as well but went for a lift instead, the overhead squat, and was able to complete one at 125# which does puts me up there!
