Gobi March 2007 – Gear List

I was very pleased with the gear I took on the course, we probably had some of the lightest packs in the field, weight approx 19 – 20lbs. Some of the competitors had packs that weighed close to 30lbs!

So… here is a list of my Gobi March 2007 Kit

Mandatory Equipment

I normally wear a size 11 shoe, I wore 1 size larger to account for foot swelling.

Sleeping Pad:

Gaiters:

With a reinforced toe and side to prevent tears. The gaiter comes with a velcro strip and tube of super glue to adhere to the outside of shoes ***I ended up not using these at all.

Hydration System:

1 pair, Solemates disposable flip flops ***these were a little too light weight, would go with something stronger next time.
