Gobi March 2007 – Food Plan
May 17th, 2007 by Jarhead
All the food I took worked just fine. The trail mix was good but started getting kinda soggy by day four, will not pack it for the next one but I will definitely take some kind of jerky again, that stuff was amazing.
I was getting tired of eating everything by the end of the fifth day, not enough different flavours, but at this point I was ill and wasn’t eating anyway. I will change up the food plan for the next one, more choice for the main meal and more liquid meals during the day. While the trail mix was good, it was heavy and probably not the best source of calories. A few of the competitors ran with an almost total liquid diet, not sure what kind of powder they were using but it would be worth looking in to.
The Gear List is finalized as well.
