The race is on...supposedly

I didn't get out for a run tonight so will have to do it Thursday night, even if its just a short one to loosen my legs up.
The racer's package is still not out for the Shore2shore race on Saturday. I sent them an e-mail to see if it had been cancelled and the reply was that it is on and they hoped to have the Racer's package out Thursday, or at the latest Friday. That would help since the pre-race meeting is supposed to be Friday night and no one knows where it is. As we will be taking the ferry over Friday morning, if the Racer's package is not out by Thursday night, I asked them to phone me in Vancouver on Friday with the details as it would be nice to know where the meeting is Friday night and where the race starts Saturday morning. They did send me a copy of last year's package although I'm not sure why as the location has changed etc. What a way to run an event.
Tomorrow is our wedding anniversary and I got Shelley a book she has been looking for. We'll probably go out for dinner Saturday night in Vancouver with my mother to celebrate it and Mother's day at the same time.
