We started our warm-up early tonight so we could run most of the WO in the daylight. The WO this evening was 7 x 5 minutes with 90 second rests. We started the intervals on Cadboro Bay Rd, wound our way down to Beach Drive past Cattle Point, retraced our steps back to Cattle Point, turned back one last time and completed our last interval on an uphill heading up Beach Drive back to Cadboro Bay Rd to Cedar Hill X-Road. My legs were a bit tired from Sunday’s race so I concentrated on keeping my length (running tall) and a quick turn-over. Although it wasn’t the friskiest WO I’ve done, I put in a strong and consistent effort from beginning to end and had a good practice keeping a quick cadence going on tired legs. After an easy cool-down we trotted over to the track just as IRR was finishing off their WO. No groin pain tonight at all…go figure.
